This week in the blog we feature yet another Drop Coffee - this time a washed Java varietal Bolvian called Carmelita. In a bit of a change to usual on the jazz side we review the 2020 London Jazz Festival.
This week we feature a super expensive Gesha from Drop Coffee Roasters (as filter only - no espresso this week on the blog!). Paired with this we go to the Town Hall with the inimitable Thelonious Monk.
This week we look at a new roaster on the blog: Eighty Seven Plus. Where we have a washed Ethiopian coffee from the Kayon Mountain farm. Along with this we look at the brand new Marius Neset album 'Tributes' as a 'first listen'.
In this post we visit a new (to the blog) coffee roaster Saint - and their Eithopian Semeon Abay which has an SCA score in excess of 90. On the jazz side we look at the 2014 release 'Riverside' featuring Dave Douglas, Chet Doxas, Steve Swallow and Jim Doxas.
Sticking with Assembly coffee roasters we look at an experimental anaerobically processed Colombian coffee in the form of Monteverde. Along with this we look at the 1998 jazz-funk classic 'A Go Go' by John Scofield featuring Medeski, Martin and Wood.
